Rule 77
Children's Allowance and Educational Allowance
: (1) If an armed police officer is disabled to the point of not being able to work for life as per rule 75, maximum two children of such disabled armed police officer shall be given monthly child's allowance at the following rate:-
(a) Gazetted Armed Police Officer – Rupees Two Hundred and Sixty (b) Gazetted First and Second Armed Police Officers – One Hundred and Twenty Four Rupees (c) Gazetted III and IV armed police personnel – one hundred and sixteen rupees (d) Unranked armed police personnel - one hundred and twelve rupees (2) In case of death of any armed police personnel under the circumstances as per Rule 76, maximum two children of such deceased armed police personnel shall be entitled to a monthly allowance at the rate of the following percentage of the starting salary scale of the position held by the deceased armed police personnel. Pedigree will be given. Position Percentage of starting salary (a) Inspector General of Armed Police or Additional Inspector General of Armed Police – 6.5
(b) Deputy Inspector General of Armed Police or Senior Superintendent of Armed Police – 8
(c) Superintendent of Armed Police or Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police - 9
(d) Inspector of Armed Police   – 10
(e) Senior Deputy Inspector of Armed Police - 12
(f) Deputy Inspector of Armed Police or Assistant Inspector of Armed Police – 13
(g) Senior Constable of Armed Police, Constable of Armed Police, Assistant Constable of Armed Police, Constable of Armed Police or Attendant of Armed Police - 14
(3) In case of such child, the status as per sub-rule (1) or (2) shall be received till the date of completion of twenty-one years of age or marriage or entry into government service, whichever is earlier.
(4) In case of death or disability of an armed police officer as per Rule 75 or 76, maximum two children of such disabled or deceased armed police officer shall receive annual educational allowance at the following rate in addition to the allowance as per sub-rule (1) or (2) till the age of twenty-one years. Also will be given :-
(a) Gazetted Armed Police Officer – Two thousand four hundred rupees (b) Gazetted and unranked armed police personnel - one thousand eight hundred rupees
